The Fabricated GE Kitchen - ca. 1930
Wow
Yıl 2024 ,ve benim, sahip olmak istedigim mutfak,1940 lardan.
This "modern" technology is already almost 90 years old!
When was the phrase "push a button" first used?
How many of these were sold ?
It's round ffs, how did they fake this in 1959?
7018 didn't exist yet. This, combined with the rather poor decarburization of the Bessemer process, made welding stronger steels, like those in ships a bit precarious to say the least. Many Liberty ships, often welded with 3/4" 6010, were lost in cold cracking incidents, one of the main reasons for the development of 7018.
I want this range!
back when there was hope for the future
Gas cooking is much better.
Geez those almost 100 year old stoves are more modern than my 10 year old gas stove 🤣
bro u better watch out, its said that x-rays can be quite harmful for ur health
I actually hate that I’m watching this because it just reminds me of how much the modern world sucks.
4:08 🤡 Why didn’t the kids wash their hands before eating a cake after their came into the house from the outside?
Who is the husband? I recognize the voice.
I made the biggest mistake of my life. I built the house with a small kitchen. I thought it would be ok...but it is never ok.
Hello sir , can I use this vedio clip in my vedio ?, I also credit u in my vedio . waiting for your replay sir 🙏
Those shot near the end looked like the great culm bank at Shamokin, PA at the Cameron Breaker.
Those deep well cookers (the pot that is sunk into the stove) worked like a crock pot. On the front side, in front of the cooker was a small oven/broiler. Often the range (either the back or the side of the range) were placed on an outside wall with a direct vent fan to the outside. It was easy to clean (compared to the over the range hood exhaust fans today -- If there is even an exhaust pipe/fan nowadays, rather than just circulating air through a (steel honeycomb) filter that has to be cleaned.
Oh my gosh 3:17 that oven has a BUILT IN CROCK POT???? Sign me up!!!
This was amazing
thats so cool that they had 'toepeners' for the fridge bck then,= and its a shame we dont now
FINALLY! We used to watch this in middle school in the 70s when we had a substitute. It was a different print that had duotone coloring for each segment. I kept looking for “Point of View”.
Animation work good
bizimkiler cumhuriyeti kurduktan sonra heykel yapmakla ve dindarları hocaları asmakla meşgüldüler bizm babaannelerimiz sabanla çift sürüyordu henüz sobaları bile .
Beautiful home! And a blue and yellow kitchen to boot!!! Love it! If only I had a Husband and Children like that also. ❤❤❤
This was 28 minutes of the worst of '50 patronizing, poor casting and acting, all to pigeonholing us to the message that more things will cure your ills.
Or as Flat-Earthers would probably argue "it's the first CG-generated image... in 1959" 😂
Great message! Today we tell alcoholics its not their fault, its a disease. All Lies! Its 100% on them! And worse yet we have AA that keeps people believing they are always drunkards, they just dont drink anymore, and cannot stay sober without them, another lie!
Kids did not wash their hands...
i see lots of roaches and ants in this kitchn
I thought the mother was pregnant? It’s never mentioned again, and she never shows as time goes by.
4:03 it’s something unsettling about how distorted the music/voices are in the background and how it’s playing during an old video.
1:16 OMFG ASH THAT CIGARETTE OUT NOW BEFORE IT FALLS ON THE CARPET or one of those many GE products.
It was tiresome to tune the dial? And they say laziness wasn’t promoted back in the day.
I’m sure there were plenty of women who had one of these kitchens that still got old and ugly quickly if they weren’t already.
I really like the "lift top" refrigerator. People actually do a DIY using a deep freezer. I never thought of having it as a part of the counter, and I like that. It just conserves cold so sensibly. Dairy & meat on the bottom, misc, then fruit and veg on top. At a money sparse time in my life I was going to build one. People give away freezers all the time, so it would just cost me parts and little bits of electricity after. I didn't know that this was once a real appliance.
After careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that I would be willing to invest 3$/month to get this kitchen.
Everything was so beautiful. I always wish to have lived in those times (minus the war of course), these fashions and way of living are so wholesome.
God…I feel so GUILTY!
I HAVE A MONITOR TOP GE THAT AM WORKING ON HOPE TO HAVE WORKING SOON IVAN FROM ILLINOIS.
According to these commercials there was literally no black people in America. Or Asians. Or anyone like them. 😅😅
Uhhhh ok
🤣🤣🤣 This elegantly glosses over the fact that the Germans got it right the FIRST time, even though they had no raw materials to work with, their production gad to be scattered all over the place and it was constantly raining bombs on them...
All powered by gas and coal and nuclear other fossil fuels!
🤣🤣🤣
i believe the First silo is an Unadilla Silo, made in Unadilla,NY!
🤗
"Bob" was probably on a troop ship not long after this film was produced.
I love how he scratches his head but do it on his helmet
